W.H.O. Had a Memorable Time!

A fun day on an amazing course is the best way to describe The 8th Annual W.H.O. Golf Tournament.

MetroWest Golf Club was the hospitable host of this year’s event. MetroWest features elevation changes that run along water hazards, which gave the players a demanding test of golf. Over 130 guests were treated to a fabulous continental breakfast from the Orlando Magic and Dunkin Donuts. As the players mounted their carts they were surprised to find overstuffed cooler totes.

After starting the tournament with a shot-gun tee-off, the players were continuously amazed at every hole by the wonderful hole sponsors and their giveaways; while on the course players were given an assortment of goodies. Players were also able to try their skills at contests found throughout the course; a putting contest, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Canteen Corporation provided all the snacks on the beverage carts including chips, chocolate and crackers. Miller Brewing Company and Pepsi provided the beverages that were needed for such a hot yet pleasant day. Express Signs and Graphics provided all the course tee signs. Photographer Stan Kelley buzzed around the course to capture each team’s photograph.

As the players came off the course, they were greeted by Westgate Smokehouse Grill and the delicious lunch spread. Guests were treated to a variety of salads, award-winning pulled pork, roasted chicken, strip steak, and cobbler. As the guests sat for the awards presentation, they were treated with one more indulgence: A&W Root Beer floats.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Westgate Resorts, Mr. David Siegel, addressed the crowd, thanking the players for attending the tournament, and all of our sponsors for making this memorable day possible.
