Mercury begins to rise make sure your plans include options for all types of weather. Beat the heat by discovering the many arts and cultural experiences offered throughout Central Florida. Regardless of your interest or amount of time available to explore, there is something for everyone in Orlando’s cultural corridor.

Play is the theme for adults and children alike this summer at Orlando Science Center. Kids learn how physics and other scientific principles make classic clubhouse games fun by interacting with larger-than-life playing pieces in the Play exhibit, while adults enjoy classic rock tunes during special laser light show performances.

The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens brings you A Parisian Affair from May 22nd through September 23rd, featuring the artistic works of Andre Renoux. Known as the father of the Urban Realist movement in France, Renoux captured everyday scenes and objects in a true-to-life manner, using Paris as a backdrop.

Take a step back in time to discover the fascinating history of Florida at the Orange County Regional History Center. The entire family will enjoy thousands of interactive exhibits that take you from an exploration of the natural flora and fauna to how the industries of cattle ranching, tourism and aviation have all had significant impacts on the area.

This summer Bok Towers Gardens will again host the “Live in the Gardens” Summer Concert Series starting May 19th. Tickets are $20 for the Concert or $40 for Dinner & Concert. Dinner is served at 5:45 p.m. and the Concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

What began as an online exhibition of photographs open to the general public is on display at Orlando Museum of Art through July 15th. Picturing My Florida is a grassroots look at the Sunshine State as people see it in their daily lives. The images included in the gallery display were chosen from the online collection, either from popular vote through Facebook or selected by the curator’s choice.
