Find out at Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame® presented by Boeing at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Relive the stories of NASA’s pioneering astronauts who dared to explore humanity’s greatest frontier through cutting edge technology, interactive elements and engaging exhibits.

In the 360-degree discovery bay, What is a Hero?, explores how society defines heroism through diverse perspectives. Through the Eyes of a Hero is a custom-built theater featuring a multi-sensory experience during which you vicariously join NASA’s heroes on the most perilous stages of their adventures. The third experience, A Hero Is…, offers interactive exhibits that highlight the nine different attributes of the history making astronauts: inspired, curious, passionate, tenacious, disciplined, confident, courageous, principled and selfless.

Through the use of holograms, watch as astronaut Eugene Cernan conducts a spacewalk outside of the Gemini IX spacecraft, bringing space program artifacts to life in a way never before possible. The original Mercury Mission Control room consoles include a periodic flashback to the tense moments preceding the landing of Friendship 7 by astronaut John Glenn.

A vacation destination like nowhere else on Earth, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, located east of Orlando, brings to life the epic story of the U.S. space program, offering a full day or more of excitement for the whole family.
