Tacos & Tequila

Cinco De Mayo, May 5th, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French Army. While Mexico’s Independence Day is September 16th, many Americans celebrate this holiday as well.

Food is probably the most important element of Mexican culture. Much of the daily routine and tradition in Mexico revolves around the ritual of preparing and eating food. Mexican food is rich in flavors and colors. The richness of the cuisine comes from their concern for the sensory experience of eating. It is often said that "cuisine is culture".
