Theme Park Safety Tips

The safety and well-being of your loved ones is one of the most important things on your mind while visiting Orlando. Right Now MD understands how a minor accident or incident can put a damper on your vacation.

First, drink lots of water to keep hydrated. Sugary drinks can be quite tempting, but keep in mind sugary drinks can tend to slow you down and tire you out quicker. Florida is one of the hottest and most humid states in the U.S., you don’t want to cut your theme park adventure short due to dehydration.

Second, protect your skin from sun burns. Always apply sunscreen before you enter the theme parks and remember to reapply every 2 hours. When purchasing sunscreen look for UVA/UVB protection with zinc oxide and SPF 30 or higher for maximum protection.

Lastly, don’t forget to bring along a First Aid Kit. You should always have a kit to take care of any minor injuries that may occur. The First Aid Kit should include alcohol wipes for cleaning any minor cuts and bruises, bandages and an antibiotic cream to help prevent any further infection and relieving painful burns and an antihistamine for allergic reactions due to the weather while being outdoors.

Right Now MD understands that unplanned events can happen at any time. If the unexpected does happen while visiting the Central Florida area, Right Now MD has friendly in-room doctors that are just a call away.
