Cirdue du Soleils
La Nouba

Now more than ever it is time to Dream

Cirque du Soleil is celebrating its 25th anniversary this summer with the theme, “The Dream Continues.” Since June 16, 1984, this young French-Canadian company has never stopped dreaming, daring, and pushing the limits of imagination.

For founder Guy Laliberté and his original street-performer friends, dreams have been a part of the troupe’s philosophy from the very beginning. The result is the evolution of a high-quality,
unparalleled, international artistic entertainment company.

Central Florida’s resident Cirque du Soleil production, La Nouba, has a character, Petite Madame, who exemplifies this philosophy. She is the catalyst who opens the doorway and discovers her own fairytale and a whole new realm of possibilities; a time and place where beings and objects are animated with a friendly, yet frenzied energy.

Physical elements, like a train crossing the stage and a bicycle riding upside-down, allow us to recall the playthings of our youth. Symbolic uses of doorways and windows are recurrent themes which stimulate our imaginations. In La Nouba, ordinary, everyday objects propel us into the realm of the extraordinary.

Cirque du Soleil is a testament to the power of living one’s dream. Dreaming inspires us to do great things; it brings a little magic into our lives and allows us to escape the day-to-day problems.

While dreaming may be considered childlike, Cirque du Soleil proves to people of all ages that there is comfort and necessity in escaping to your dreams.

Now – more than ever – is the time to dream.

La Nouba encourages dreaming Tuesdays through Saturdays at 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Downtown Disney West Side at the Walt Disney World Resort.
