Orlando's Best Kept Secrets

Orlando is one of the world’s top tourist destinations. Enjoy the major attractions but make sure to explore some of the smaller attractions. Here are a few of Orlando’s best kept secrets.

Fantasy of Flight

In February 1993 workers broke ground on Fantasy of Flight and its two runways, the longest to stretch 5,000 feet to accommodate four-engine planes. Guests enter a world of aviation wonder, a place where history comes alive through vintage and restored aircraft and the aviators who flew them. The attraction features the world’s largest collection of vintage airplanes, historical immersion experiences, interactive thrills and behind-the-scenes tours of aircraft restoration areas. It is the only aircraft attraction in the world showcasing daily aerial demonstrations for guests.

SkyVenture

Originally built in 1998 for professional skydivers to accelerate learning and honing their moves in a more economical and efficient way, SkyVenture Orlando closely replicates the physical sensation and conditions of skydiving. But today, you don’t need to be a professional to fly in our tunnel.

Now virtually any healthy person can fly. Indoor skydiving isn’t a ride or a simulator. You actually fly, and you can learn to control how you move by adjusting your body position. This means you can begin to master turns and other maneuvers and get better each time you fly, so every time you fly it’s a different experience – always new and always exciting!

WonderWorks

Removed from the glare of the media and the encumbrances of governmental restrictions; a group of scientists from around the world collaborated to find answers to the unexplainable. Their mission: to understand, predict and control these phenomena. In early 1998, during a top-secret experiment, something went awry. When the scientists attempted to harness the power of a man-made tornado, the giant, swirling vortex unleashed its power throughout the laboratories! The energy vortex lifted the research facility from its foundation and transported the laboratory hundreds of miles away to Orlando, Florida, where it landed upside-down, but otherwise functionally intact.

WonderWorks is an amusement park for the mind. Featuring over 100 interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages to experience. Guests will actively participate in some of the most imaginative displays and exhibits found in any facility in the United States.
